Friday night date night done JUST right! Restaurant Tyler has such a romantic ambience. It feels so intimate with a southern char. The menu is the perfect size. We started out with the crawfish dip. The dip was very tasty and had enough crawfish. The chips used for dipping was good size, flavor , and texture. I would recommend using a fork for your dip. They bring out cornbread before you get your food so keep that in mind. Next we moved on to our pastas. We ordered the jambalaya pasta and the lamb gnocchi. The pasta was so rich ! The flavors were bold and comforting. The lamb in my gnocchi was cooked well almost like a sausage because of the flavor. The jambalaya pasta was very good too. We got full quickly and couldn't finish! Our waitress was very friendly and patient. We also got to talk to the chefs about our dishes. He was so passionate about the dishes prepared and I loved how he was so proud of his dishes. Overall I had an amazing time and I will definitely be back!
Very tasty food. Love their pork chops. I think they must sous vide their chops - so tender. We have never had a problem with service. We love the restaurant, but just so you know, we always show for their more affordable lunch prices.
Brunch was amazing. Came in on a busy Sunday morning and was sat and served within minutes. Service was awesome, food was delicious, and the price was completely reasonable, surprisingly affordable, for such a great meal for two. Chicken and Waffles are a must try.

We had a delicious lunch for our daughter's graduation! Service was very friendly and attentive...the fried chicken and macaroni and cheese were our favorites! Atmosphere is great as well! Try it, you'll like it!
Favorite date night place!! Perfect for a special occasion or just a nice brunch or dinner. I have a shellfish allergy with prevents me from some of the menu but they are more than accommodating. Our service is always wonderful as well. The food is always so good too!! Pictured here is the swordfish special they had available for Valentine's Day.
We had a party of 13 this weekend at Restaurant Tyler and it went well. The highlights were the okra appetizer and the fresh fish of the day which was red snapper pan seared or blackened. We chose the pan seared. My son got the duck burger which we found the meat to be delicious but certainly didn't need a bun, was great as a stand-alone patty with the seasonings. The general consensus was that the main dishes were great but the sides were extremely over-salted. (And I am a salt lover!) The only reason I'm downgrading a star is that, like many restaurants in the downtown area in older buildings, the acoustics are horrible so that the restaurant is SO LOUD that it's nearly impossible to enjoy the atmosphere while screaming and not being able to communicate. There are things they can do to reduce the noise for a more pleasant experience.
